Haniyeh describes war as struggle between humanity and ‘neo-Nazis’

The head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, said on Wednesday that the ongoing war waged by Israel against the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip is a “fateful battle” between two axes; the people who love freedom and justice, and those who love racism and fascism.

Haniyeh cited the “brutal massacre” in Jabaliya refugee camp, Nuseirat, Al-Shati and Al-Fallujah. “Or rather, the massacre across the whole beloved [Gaza] Strip.”
He explained that before the war, Hamas had warned all parties that Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu and his “fascist” government would continue to attack Al-Aqsa Mosque and Islamic and Christian sanctities; build illegal settlements; and allow settlers to wreak havoc, destruction and murder on the land.
“The explosion was coming, it was inevitable. We must work to curb this criminal [Netanyahu] and his gang. Unfortunately, nobody listened to our call, and [Netanyahu’s] allies continued to support and encourage his racist policies.”
The Hamas official repeated his warning that Netanyahu is ready to burn the whole region and beyond to save himself and the extremists around him. Hamas, he said, has told mediators of the need to end the “massacres and genocide”.
The movement has presented them with a comprehensive vision that begins with stopping the criminal aggression and opening the crossings; concluding a prisoner exchange deal; and opening the political path to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and the right to self-determination. “Netanyahu,” though, is procrastinating and deceiving his audience with false promises that we will not allow him to fulfil.”
