Two people killed several injured in Israeli attack on Lebanese territories

At least two people, including a child, have been killed and six others injured after an Israeli airstrike hit a residential area in the southern Lebanese town of Hanin.

Lebanese media sources said Israeli warplanes struck a two-story house with two air-to-surface missiles, completely destroying the building inhabited by a family.

Israeli forces and Lebanon’s armed group Hezbollah have been exchanging fire for over six months in parallel to the Gaza war.

Meanwhile, Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, said, on Tuesday, it had launched a drone attack against Israeli military bases north of the city of Acre, in its deepest strike into Israeli territory since the Gaza war began.

The two sides have been engaging in regular exchanges of missile fire and airstrikes since the start of the war on October 7 last year.
