Iranian Sunni community best example of fraternity: Ayatollah Araki

Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, has issued a message addressing the brave Kurdish community in western Iran read by the Union of Pro-proximity Muslim Youths in Ghoba Mosque, in the town of Paveh, Kermanshah Province and praised the exemplary fraternal ties founded by the Sunni people in the area, reported Taghrib News Agency (TNA).

Senior cleric in his message extended congratulations over the fasting month of Ramadan and expressed hope that the Id al Fitr will bring victory of the Muslims over arrogant powers and their puppet terrorists, Daesh.

Part of the message by the scholar reads,” Muslims scholars and the people in western Iran, be it Shia or Sunni have fulfilled their vows to Islam and the Revolution” and added,” Scholars like Mamusta Sheikh-ul-Islam and a number of other brave warriors have sacrificed themselves and other including Sheikh-ul-Islam Molla Ghader Ghaderi are still serving the country defending Islamic values and sanctities.”

Shia cleric hailed the people in Sunni inhibited regions for their respect for Qur’an and household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) calling the community as the best example of solidarity and Islamic fraternity.

“Sunni people in the Islamic Republic of Iran made it to foil the intrigues for dividing the nation and injecting hostility among the people” he said.

Ayatollah Araki expressed hope for massive participation of the Iranian nation in international Qud Day rallies.

Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought congratulated the Kurdish people over their unique solidarity and expressed hope that more steps will be taken in line with promotion of the unity among people and announced preparation of the world forum for that objective.
