Gambian top official stressed necessity of serious confrontation with Takfiri (excommunication) groups in Muslim countries calling that the major issue for the world of Islam.

Sheikh Mohammad Ousman Jah, deputy of Gambia Supreme Islamic Council, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) on the sideline of the 30th International Islamic Unity Conference, hailed the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought for hosting the annual event calling the convention as an opportunity for more convergence and proximity of the worldviews by Muslim scholars.
 
He said,” As far as the clerics and Islamic thinkers are distanced from each other and do not exchange views on their issues, there will be no chance for a practical solidarity between Muslims.”
 
 Gambian scholar called “knowing each other “as the missing link” of Muslims and stressed,” Ignorance and lack of knowledge is the issue which turns Muslims cynic of each other; therefore, to inform and familiarize true Islam must be set high on the agenda of Muslim clerics.”
 
He slammed terrorist acts by Takfiri groups and counted cultural and military confrontation as two ways to prevent expansion of the deviate groups.
 
Ousman Jah also highlighted the role of media expressing regret over dispersion of the media against the movement demanding them to unveil the hostile nature of the Zionist regime and world arrogant powers and also their objective to spread dispersion among Muslims.
