“Depicting Islam for non-Muslims is of our duties”: UK cleric

Friday Leader of London, Sh. Hasaudi al-Taraiki in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) hailed the organizers of the 30^th international Islamic Unity Conference stressing Muslims are still away from a desirable state in unity area and much less is said and done with this connection.

The manager of cultural center in London briefed on the center's achivements, activities and programs in the U.K stressing, “Our duty as Muslims scholars, you know, is convey the idea of Islam to our communities, especially the youth. “

“We are expected to show the idea of Islam to non-Muslims and face the bad image given about Muslims communities by extremist groups,” pointed out the religious cleric.

Friday Leader of London appraised the unity conference really efficient and positive going on to stress, “We have our own Muslim unity conferences there. For instance we are going to hold the 10^th edition of Islamic unity conference in June. “

"We have different themes for these conferences and gatherings all of which are related to Islamic unity and problems,” Sh. Hasaudi al-Taraiki mentioned.

The religious cleric underscored regarding the current movements of Takfiri and extremist groups, we do our best to pay attention to this area.

According to Sh. Hasaudi al-Taraiki, for infighting extremism and identifying real enemies, Islamic clerics are should act swiftly and cautiously and for braving their problems they should not lean on arrogant powers for support.

“For bridging the differences, religious thinkers should focus on common issues and principles among Muslims and use any opportunity to unite Muslims,” concluded London Friday Prayer Leader.
