"In all realms and areas," the governor of Bandar Torkaman, Abdol Hakim Firouzie in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) at the sideline of Al- Quds Day rally stressed, "Iranians always stand by oppressed nation of Palestine."
"It falls upon all Muslims to cry out the slogan of 'down with Israel' and side with the oppressed nation up to their final freedom," pointed out Abdol Hakim Firouzie lauding the late founder of Islamic revolution, Imam Khomeini's attempt in designating the name of Al-Quds.
According to the political face, Imam Khomeini (RA) thereafter the victory of Islamic Revolution of Iran counted Palestine as the main concern of the World of Islam, holding this day as a day of unity among Muslim nations.
Hailing high turnout in the nationwide rallies held to mark the International Quds Day, he underscored, "Al-Quds day rally carries a global message to the World showing Islamic ummah are resolute in combatting the oppression.
Millions of fasting Iranian people from different walks of life poured into the streets in cities across the country on Friday to join the demonstrations in support of Palestinians, who have been suffering from Israel’s atrocities for decades.
Each year, the International Quds Day is celebrated across the world on the last Friday of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
The event’s raison d'être is renewing support for the Palestinians and denunciation of Israel.
The day is also seen as the legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, who officially declared the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day back in 1979.
