Iranian Sunni scholars congratulated all Muslims on a month of fasting and called Fitr as the shared Eid between Shia and Sunni Muslims.

Sunni clerics in Iran have hailed arrival of Fitr Eid announcing the abiding of the Sunni community with government committees observing the moon and hailed the occasion as an occasion unanimously celebrated among all Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Mamusta Mostafa Mahmoudi, prayer leader of Piranshahr, Kurdish-inhibited city in West Azerbaijan Province, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) said all Muslims are obedient to the government and jurisprudent and all celebrations are Islamic rather than Shia or Sunni occasions.
 
He hailed the arrival of Fitr Eid in Iran and highlighted the importance of the ceremony for all Muslims and said,” Announcement of the end of Ramadan and arrival of Fitr Eid is by the Islamic ruler in a country and in Iran the mission is upon the moon observing committee of the Supreme Leader’s bureau.
 
The cleric stressed,” To observe the moon for announcement of the Eid and holding Fitr Eid prayer manifests the unity of Islamic nation and a hinder for enemies in pursuit of misusing the opportunities to divide Muslims.”
 
Mamusta Hasel Baleghchi, prayer leader of Shahin Dezh County, also said the announcement of Eid is by the bureau of Supreme Leader and stressed,” It is forbidden, in Islamic Sharia, not to obey the announcement of Eid by jurisprudent and Islamic ruler and the necessity is due to importance of maintaining Islamic unity and national solidarity in every country.”
 
He referred to Fitr Eid as the opportunity to boost Islamic solidarity and said,” Following the common rituals in the month of Ramadan and the shared privileges for all Muslims during this fasting month, Fitr Eid is the occasion for the hearts to approach each other and a great unity is built between all Muslims after a month of fasting and following common religious ceremonies.”
 
He highlighted the contributions made by the Sunni community during the revolution and their obedience of the jurisprudent in the hardest times after the Islamic revolution hailing that as a sign for solidarity of the Islamic community.
 
Mamusta Ebrahim Sorkhabi, prayer leader of Naghadeh, in his interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) stressed that the observation of the moon and announcement of Fitr Eid is upon the jurisprudent and reiterated the obedience of the Sunni community for what is announced by the Islamic government.
