Forty countries to attend egypt Int’l Quran competition
Egypt’s Awqaf ministry said 40 countries have announced their willingness to attend the North African country’s international Quran contest.

According to al-Bilad website, the ministry said 52 Quran activists from the 40 countries will take part in the competition’s 24th edition.
It will be held on April 8-11 in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, it added.
The ministry said a number of senior officials, including Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mukhtar Guma, as well as Quranic figures will take part in the opening ceremony.
The competition aims to promote memorization of the Quran among the youth, it went on to say.
