Shia cleric calls for “Mercy-oriented Interfaith Dialogue”

Iranian cleric attended interfaith dialogue in the Russian city of St Petersburg stressing necessity of mercy-oriented dialogue among religions and explanation of religion with holy blessing as two main axes for interreligious dialogue.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Ahmad Moballeghi, director of Al Mustafa International University, participated conference on “Inclusion of Divine Blessing as  Principle for Interfaith Dialogue in 21st Century” counting the achievements of dialogue among different religions, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He referred to building and boosting “Mercy-Oriented Interfaith Dialogue” and said an important result of that is that this dialogue will form a conceptual and mutual framework for thought, view and moving towards joint religious life.
 
The cleric noted that the second achievement for interfaith dialogue is that followers of different religions will arrive a common belief within the framework of the dialogue that they should make joint moves to deepen and spread spirituality and morality in the present world.
 
Member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts said the third it will open interfaith agreements for confrontation of religion and extremism.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Ahmad Moballeghi added that the fourth result is that interfaith dialogue will be meaningful and rational.
 
Iranian top scholar also highlighted importance of the conference in regards to its critical and careful view on relations in a religious community.
