Mourning ceremony of Imam Hussein(AS),third Shia Imam, held in the holy shrine of Imam Reza(AS)in Mashhad

Attended by 12'000 staff members of the holy shrine of Imam Reza(AS), eighth Shia Imam, every year on the eve of Ashura, 10th of the lunar month of Muharram, a mourning ceremony is held to condole the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, third Shia Imam and his companions martyred in Karbala battle in 61 A.H.
