It for certain that the countdown for disempowerment of Muslim Brotherhood has begun though practically it is the army which is the decision maker for future of power in this country.

Sadeq Al Husseini, Middle East and Muslim World expert, in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency has expressed his views on the reasons behind failure of Muslim Brotherhood at power.
Q: Many Egyptian officials have resigned in the past few days. What is your comment on these resignations? Is it a countdown for toppling of Morsi government?

A: It is a fact that the countdown for topple of Morsi government has begun but all are eying the army at the moment and I do not think that it is pursuing a coup though the main decision maker is again the army.

Mismanagement or unprofessional management by Muslim Brotherhood and the inverted pyramid of their policy making in their interaction with foreign countries and confrontation with domestic figures has led to the present balance, which is a negative result for Muslim Brotherhood.

It will be quite promising if the people can survive the mismanagement of Morsi and Muslim Brotherhood before finding a third option between National Salvation Party and Muslim Brotherhood. Any other result will not lead to a stabilized Egypt in near future.

Egyptian nation are looking for stabilization and achieving their objectives to exit this negative situation in full health, particularly when Americans do not want Egypt to regain its position among regional and international equations playing the role of a strategic partner beside Iran and the Resistance.

Q: Muslim Brotherhood had an almost eight decades of struggle and earned 51 per cent of votes in the second round of elections. Why could not they make use their background and votes to succeed?

A: As I said the reason is their disrespect for true objectives of Egyptian nation ignoring many of their high ambitions. The issue of Zionist regime, Camp David Cord, uprooting the relations of Mubarak as well as cleansing them from state and security organizations and more important than them all their interaction with foreign countries and confrontation with domestic factors were among the issues that distanced Egyptian government from its nation and a government that is separated from its people is doomed to be risen against, what is underway right now.

Q: To what extent were the involvement of the country in Syria crisis and the recent stance of Mohammad Morsi effective in the tensions?

A: This is an example of double standards hired by Morsi. How can a so-called Islamic ruler, who respects the votes of his people, can interfere in a legal government like Syria and call foreign countries to do so? How can he approve violence in Syria and let the Takfiris to commit such crimes. It was also another measure by Morsi to sever its ties with Syria ignoring all its historical and strategic ties. It is quite apparent that he is double standards would lead to his being left unprotected by foreigners particularly when western countries faced a great failure in Syria.

One of the reasons that led to this incident for Muslim Brotherhood was that western countries and the US left Morsi alone in front of his people; therefore, the issue of Syria was quite important not only in Egypt but also in Qatar where has been subject to changes and Turkey where unrests erupted as well as Tunisia. These changes were all due to their strategic miscalculations regarding Syria.

Q: Now Egyptians are involved in lose-lose game. Is it likely that we call Hosni Mubarak as the sole happy person in this issue?

A: Unfortunately people in some cities that had not rallied against Hosni Mubarak, witnessed uprisings for the first time and in many cities the survivors of Mubarak regime rushed into the streets and were involved in violence too.
