Iranian cleric says terrorist resurgence aims to weaken resistance axis
In an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA), Mamusta Molla Adel Gholami, the Friday prayer leader of the Sunni community in Qasr-e Shirin, blamed the UK and ignorance of the Muslims as two reasons behind the ongoing bloodshed and conflict in the Middle East.

He highlighted unity as the solution to end the ongoing terrorism in the Middle East and West Asia region.

The cleric said the terrorist groups led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and allied armed groups who have unleashed insecurity in Syria with the support of the Israeli regime, US and Turkey pursue various ambitions in the Arab country.

He said the topple of Bashar al-Assad and weakening and elimination of the resistance axis among the objectives of the US-Israeli-backed terrorists in Syria.

The Iranian cleric noted that terrorism is a product of the arrogant plots in the Middle East and said,” Several armed groups have erupted conflict across the world of Islam during the past decade and these groups could have existed unless by the support of the occupying Israeli regime and the foreign intelligence services.

He concluded that the “Zionist” Israeli regime, who has suffered a heavy failure in the battle against the resistance front in Gaza and Lebanon, endeavors to cover up its loss by opening a new front in Syria, but that is to no avail.”
