An advisor to the Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic said west aims at weakening the neighboring countries to the Zionist regime to guarantee the illegal regime as the superpower in the region.

Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim World Affairs, said the general strategy of the west is based on weakening the regional countries and destroying the positive effects of the Islamic Awakening Taqrib News Agency (TNA) quoted Iran’s Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
He called the changes during the past two years in some Arab countries as a true Islamic Awakening and said,” The signs for the Islamic identity of these changes were completely visible.” and added that the mosques were the birthplace for the movements.
He referred to the concerns of the arrogant powers in regards to Islamic Awakening movements and noted,” Following the popular moves, west tried to makes its desired changes to prove the popular moves as vain.”
He counted the recent changes in Egypt, wide presence of terrorists, Takfiri (excommunicating) and armed groups in Libya, current movements in Yemen, constant explosions in Iraq, crisis in Syria and efforts to topple Islamists in Tunisia as proofs for a great intrigue by the west.
“West, particularly the UK, has always been struggling for waging sectarian war among different Islamic denominations and also spread of Takfiri thoughts.” said Ayatollah Taskhiri and added,” The result is that Muslims are in clashes among themselves and the arrogant powers are trying for realization of their objectives.”
President of the Supreme Council at the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thoughts stressed the need for observation and foiling the western intrigues in the region saying,” On the one hand we have to condemn Takfiri thoughts and on the other hand try to promote Islamic proximity.”
He also touched upon importance of Muslim unity and said,” Our mission in Islam is to explain the commonalities so that the way for realization of Islamic unity and prevention of more intrigues is paved and that is the mission of Islamic scholars.”
Ayatollah Taskhiri noted that Iran, even prior to the Islamic Revolution, stressed Islamic unity saying, “Post-revolution Iran took huge steps for the issue including, spread of unity thoughts, nomination of Islamic Unity Week and also launching the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.”
He hailed the efforts of Iranian scholarly delegates for promoting the idea in different gatherings to the point that the idea was approved by great centers like the world assembly of Islamic Fiq’h and Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO).
Iranian senior cleric said, “Unfortunately on the one hand the plots of the enemies and on the other hand the great propaganda might of the west and petrified regional states and also those who find their interests in excommunicating others, made several efforts to prevent spread of proximity thoughts though in the long run they will not be able to carry out their plots and the Islamic nation, focusing on Qur’anic teachings, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Ahlul Bayt (AS) will move towards moderation.”
Top Shia cleric also related on the recent changes in Egypt saying,” Egypt is not only standing on a special position in the Arab world but also specifies a particular stance in the Muslim world; therefore, the result for what happens in Egypt is projected in the whole world of Islam.”
On the issue of Egypt he added,” A major part of Egypt army, is in relation with the west while some petrified Arab states also hired their money and influence to foil popular moves and bringing rift among people so that eventually the superiority of the Zionist regime is credited.”
Iranian cleric said,” In order to prove their deviation from popular revolution, they freed Hosni Mubarak and will stress their deviation to the extent that even if an election is held there will be no way for the Islamists to participate in it.”
He denounced the anti-constitutional measures and called Muslim leaders to try for empowerment through legal ways and avoid any violence since that is the strategy of the enemies.
Grand Ayatollah Taskhiri referred to the recent meeting held by Ale Bayt (AS) Institute in Amman discussing the features of Islamic government to adjust with its time and noted that Iranian delegation discussed the features of an Islamic government in regards to the country’s constitution and made it to attract the positive view of the participants.
He called the conference as an opportunity to indicate the greatness of Iran’s constitution as well as the legal and powerful stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
