Abbas Ali al Fahham, deputy of the Education College at the University of Kufa in Iraq, in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) said despite hostile moves to tarnish the image of Islam and Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Iraqi academics focus on a global projection of the divine religion through international conferences.
He said Iraqi academic delegation visited Iran in a bid to familiarize with top religious figures in Iran and hailed proximity activities in the country.
He expressed his respect for proximity activities in Iran and said,” This is while our country, Iraq, is harassed with serious religious crisis and we are quite distanced with proximity in ideological, behavioral and practical terms.”
He referred to some new agreements to exchange students between the two countries and announced an upcoming proximity conference which will host Iranian thinkers and academicians.
