An Iranian MP highlighted the role of Islamic scholars, joint conferences and dialogue for boosting Muslim unity and revealing the true identity of Takfiri (excommunicating) groups.

Seyyed Hussein Naqavi Husseini, Speaker of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA), said the western countries during the recent years have been witnessing victory of Islam and Qur’anic teachings as an awakening movement among nations.
He hailed Islamic Awakening as the perfect form of the awakenings and said,” Enemies noticed unity and a political Islam in countries would destabilize the stance of world arrogant powers; hence they spare no effort to prevent Islamic Awakening.”
He stated,” One of the hostile measures is launching Islamic groups which have an Islamic appearance but their true nature is a distorted Islam.” and added,” They form pre-organized groups and introduce them under the title of Islam though they only aim at misrepresenting Islam with a violent and inhuman face to discredit Islam among the people and also bring division among different Islamic denominations so that Muslim are busy with a war among themselves rather than array against their common enemies.”
Naqavi Husseini stressed,” Taliban, Al Qaeda, Rigis, Takfiri and Salafis are all brainchildren of the US with the aforesaid objectives, misrepresenting Islam as a violent religion and divide Muslims.”
He added,” What is called as extremism by the Islamic Republic of Iran can be partly found in these groups.”
Iranian MP warned that these extremist groups are not merely a threat for Muslim world when western countries are the most vulnerable countries against these groups.
He noted,” Same way that Al Qaeda which is a brainchild of the US, caused 9/11 incident, certainly Takfiri groups will bring serious troubles for the western countries which are supporting these groups now.”
Speaker of National Security and Foreign Policy Committee at Parliament also related on the role of scholars in confrontation with Takfiri groups and said,” Muslim clerics are the only references that are capable of preventing these divisions, introducing true Islam and boost Islamic proximity.”
He demanded scholars to unveil western intrigues and show the true face of Islam so that Muslim nations know that neither Takfiris nor Al Qaeda or Rigis are the references for Islam.
Iranian official finally reiterated the role of scholars, particularly joint meetings and dialogue held by them, for increasing unity among different Islamic denominations and unveiling the true identity of Takfiri groups.
