Hussein Kana’ani Moqaddam, Iranian political expert on Western Asia affairs, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) noted that the ‘suicidal attempt’ by President Donald Trump to blacklist Iran’s Islamic Republic Guards Corps (IRGC) is because of Trump’s membership in Netanyahu campaign.
He said, “Trump’s designation of Iran’s IRGC is manifestation for failure of all US plans and that the total amount of $7 trillion spent in the Middle East has been in vain.”
He added,” It seems that the suicidal attempt by Trump has been more of a contribution for Benjamin Netanyahu’s campaign in order to guarantee his presence in the occupied lands.”
Hussein Kana’ani Moqaddam called the US blacklisting of the IRGC is illegal and breach of the diplomatic regulations and stressed Iranian nation’s support for the Guards Corps.
Iranian political expert noted according to National Security Council the move by US should be reacted in a reciprocal measure and the US-backed forces, American troops, Black Water and veterans present in the region should be targeted by the IRGC.
“IRGC will not make a preemptive move” said he and added,” But if the US intends to take measures, over 250 US military bases in the Middle East will be targeted by the IRGC.”
He vowed that the reciprocal measure will not be confined to Iran’s IRGC but the resistance movement in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq will react; hence, this scenario has already failed.
