Anti-Iran sanctions due to constructive initiatives to promote Islamic unity
Russian mufti said Islamic Republic of Iran is challenged by different sanctions because of its constructive efforts in foiling plots against Muslims.

Sheikh Kaffah Mohammad Bata al-Husseini, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) conducted on the sideline of the second Regional Islamic Unity Conference held in Gorgan, hailed Iran for its constructive initiatives to boost solidarity among Muslims and foil plots against Islam.
Top Sunni cleric said,” We are all Muslims because of our obedience of Islam, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), holy Qur’an and same Qibla (praying direction of Muslims)”
He lauded the annual and regional Islamic unity conferences for convening world Muslims and taking steps in line with proximity of all Islamic denominations.
Mufti of Volgograd quoted Imam Ali (AS), first Shia Imam and said,” People are hostile to what they know nothing of; therefore, we are sometimes hostile to each other or reject other traditions because of our lack of knowledge.”
He said,” Meetings held based on Islamic unity contribute to proximity of hearts, eliminate obstacles and helps us (Muslims) to aid each other.”
Sheikh Kaffah Mohammad Bata al-Husseini added,” Other countries presume that Iran is prejudiced towards minority Sunnis” stressing that such misconceptions are all due to the media propaganda.
Senior Russian mufti concluded,” Meetings like Islamic Unity Conference acknowledge people, lift media sanctions and contribute to a better understanding of Iranian people, culture and civilization.”
