Sheikh Fadi Mazi, prominent Sunni scholar and head of the council at Palestinian refugee camp in Ain al-Hilweh, Sidon, in an interview with Ahlul Bayt (AS) news agency stressed his passion for another pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS), reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He referred to the unity, love, peace and passion among pilgrims attending Arba’een procession and said,” As a Muslim, we ponder the oppression against our co-religions, particularly the Palestinian nation and considering the grandeur of this march we hope that some day in near future we will hold the same march to liberate al-Quds.”
The Palestinian scholar said he found beauty in diversity of the pilgrims attending the Arba’een procession from across the globe even those with physical disabilities but what motivates and even boosts them in this path is their love for Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Ahlul Bayt (AS) and the third Shia Imam.”
Sheikh Mazi praised the Iraqi nation for their contribution for Arba’een procession and said,” Those attending the great march of Arba’een witness the generosity and hospitality they would witness in no other religious ceremony, all for the sake of loyalty to Imam Hussein (AS).”
The Palestinian scholar also hailed the unity prayer attended by both Shia and Sunni scholars at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) and stressed,” That is what bothers the Zionist enemies and the value of this solidarity is to the point that the Israeli army spokesman warned of the Shia Sunni meeting at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) as a threat.”
