A senior Sunni cleric said an objective of Islam has been to save the oppressed Muslims from those oppressors.

Mamusta Mamed Kalashinejad, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) referred to the ways for the Islamic countries to support the Palestinian nation and confront the Zionist Israeli regime.
 
He said,” Undoubtedly Palestine is an inseparable part of the Islamic geography and Muslim rulers have always views the Palestinian land as a holy land and the first Qibla (praying direction) of Muslims.”
 
He condemned nearly eight decades of Israeli and international atrocities against the Palestinian nation and reiterated necessity of support for the oppresse Palestinian people.
 
Mamusta Kalashinejad noted,” Israeli officials are only concerned on Iran turning to a powerful country; therefore, they pursue policies to weaken the Islamic Republic.”
 
He said,” The rhetoric of Israel is crackdown and exploitation; hence, Islamic countries and rulers should unite in a campaign to rescue Palestine from Israeli oppression.”
