Beirut - Taqrib News Agency (TNA) - Ex-Egyptian official has stressed the need for the return of Egyptian-Iranian relations and Arab-Iranian alliance to block the foreign plots.

"Iran is an important country in the region that can not be canceled, and it is a Muslim country that has legitimate ambitions," Dr. Abdullah Ash'al, former diplomat and presidential candidate told Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

In an exclusive interview for TNA, Ash'al declared that the delay of the resumption of relations was due to American and Israeli dictates, therefore, the interest of Egypt necessitates immediate severance of relations with Israel, which threatens the national security of the peoples of the region.

Ash'al said he refused to visit Israel during his service in the Foreign Ministry because it is a danger on the Arab and Islamic nation, referring to the need for an Egyptian leader to face Israel and unite the Muslims.

Dr.Ash'al wished if he served as Foreign Minister to combines Arab, but unfortunately all the nominations of the revolution had been rejected by the Military Council, and he was rejected twice because of the American and Israeli reservations, noting that "I had not participated at any occasion held by the Israeli ambassador in Cairo so far".

"If I were minister of foreign affairs, I would set a memorandum of violations made by Israel on the peace agreement and freeze political and diplomatic relations and economic ties, so it would know that the blood of the Egyptians is precious, because Egypt lived under the pressure of Israel and America; Due to the lack of clear foreign policy that bear in mind the interests of Egypt with all the countries of the world, we must have an Arab unity based on democracy and mutual interests", Ash'al said.

About his candidacy for the presidency, he confirmed that he decided to run as an independent candidate, because the run through the parties will reminds the method of Mubarak's regime, and also "my candidacy as an independent guarantee the loyalty of all parties, and this does not mean that I am against political parties, but the activity of political parties did not appear so far and that I want to earn every partisan and independent vote".

He stressed that he has good Electoral program, that he will implement it if he wins the next presidential election, the first step will be the closure of the unecessary imports and appealing to the Egyptians to work and product.

He also said that he puts the provision of national projects for youth employment on top of his agenda, because "we need the self-development through the development of systems and rules and not to rely on the outside."

On election campaigns, the former diplomat said that "Publicity depends on money and there is publicity respected and there is a cheap unethical one, by trying to placate people through artificial manifestations, by visiting the popular places and I do not mean a particular candidate because I do not want to clash with anyone, but I am sure that the sense of the popular Egyptian, distinguish between good and bad".

He asserted that he is against the nomination of the military for the presidency, even if in a civilian apperance, because we want a democratic system and military inherently is undemocratic, we must respect the will of the people, even if the Islamists took power.

About revolutions in the Arab region, he confirmed that all of these revolutions was made by the will of the people, but the outside is trying to ride the wave and lead some elements so that the revolution do not achieve its goals. Therefore, new leaders of these countries after the revolution, should be of the national elements, which are efficient and reflect the the general will of the people.

"In Egypt, the revolution was led by the strongest element in society, mainly the youth, who was a target of the former regime, by the neglect of their community and the failure to provide them with employment opportunities and cheating on them and give them a deviant thought and imprisonment of their hope and ambition," he added.

In conclusion, he addressed a message to the government and the military council in Egypt to provide security and good economic conditions, and deal strictly with the Zionist entity to preserves the dignity of Egypt because the specter of Mubarak has ended.
