Director of Iran Trade Promotion Organization for Persian Gulf, Farzad Piltan, said on Sunday that Iran’s exports to the Persian Gulf kingdom are valued at $170 million, while imports from the Arab state are worth $80 million.
He also lauded the current level of Iran-Oman trade ties, calling on businessmen and trade companies to make efforts and further enhance economic relations between the two countries.

He pointed out that Iranian firms are fully prepared to transfer their expertise in the fields of mining along with oil and gas industries to Oman.
Iran and Oman commemorated the 40th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations during a ceremony at the Iranian Foreign Ministry in Tehran on May 28.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, Under-Secretary of the Omani Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs Ahmed bin Yousef bin Obaid al-Harthy, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and a number of other Iranian and Omani officials attended the event.
In a speech during the ceremony, Salehi said that 14 rounds of meetings between members of the Iran-Oman joint economic commission, meetings of joint committees on military, political, and scientific affairs, and the exchange of visits by officials of the two countries showed good relations between Tehran and Muscat.
He also hailed the convergent policies adopted toward regional issues by Iran and Oman.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Salehi stated that the implementation of a project to transport gas from Iran to Oman would help enhance the level of economic cooperation.
The Omani official, for his part, said that relations between the two countries are based on mutual trust, noting that the Persian Gulf kingdom was determined to strengthen ties with the Islamic Republic.
