Cleric calls for confrontation with wrong image of Islam
Top Iranian cleric attended the closing ceremony of international conference on Takfir (excommunication) in Beirut and demanded Muslims to unite and confront with the fake images provided for the world.

Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, attended several events in his recent trip to Lebanon meeting with top Islamic figures from across the world and stressed the role of world forum for confrontation with extremism and Takfir in Muslim world, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He urged Muslim communities to unite and confront with what gives a wrong image of Islam and also helping the Resistance.
Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in this trip also visited Al Mustafa International University where the dean of the university praised the diversity in the races and nationalities enthusiastic to attend the center for Islamic studies.
He also met with Haj Yousif Ghansouh, representative of the world forum in London to discuss the plans for proximity activities in the European capital.
In this trip Lebanon state radio hosted Iranian cleric who explained his views on the activities, objectives, and future plans of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought to confront with the intrigues and challenges ahead of the Arab and Muslim world.
Meeting with prominent Muslim figures from Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, Iranian scholar discussed the challenges for realization of proximity in different Islamic countries.
Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki also met with top Shia, Sunni and Christian figures in the third death anniversary of late Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Hussein Fadl Allah, renowned Lebanese jurisprudent./HK
