“Arrogant powers dream sectarian rifts between Muslims.”

Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani, top Iranian jurisprudent in his Qur’an exegesis class held in Qom, criticized some Sunni clerics for summoning people to fight in Syria and said these scholars have never announced a public mobilization against the Zionist regime who is a more apparent enemy of Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Although there are many wise and intellectual figures among Sunni community, some Sunni scholars summon the people to fight against Syrian troops and this is a war of Muslims against Muslims.”

He warned against sectarian rifts among Muslims calling that arrogant powers’ dream for Islamic communities.

Iranian professor at Qom Seminary also expressed regret over the neutral stance of some Muslim figures against the issue of Palestine demanding,” How can you make a public call for the people to fight against Syrian troops while you give a cold shoulder towards confrontation with the Zionist regime of Israel?”

He also referred to a recent meeting in the Occupied Palestine where concluded with Takfir (excommunication) as the solution to guarantee a comfortable life for the Zionist regime and noted,” Heads of the enemies in their recent meeting concluded that if the Zionist regime intends to live at peace it has no way out but to bribe a group of people to excommunicate another group in a bid to spark sectarian war. Are such people really human beings?”

Top jurisprudent also slammed anti-Iran drug sanctions by the US and said,” These governments that ban impose sanctions against another country are the same so called claimants of human rights.” And added,” Is this the meaning of human rights that if a country does not cooperate with you has to succumb to his diseases? This is hostility with humanity.”
