“This year we try to present a better congress in comparison with previous editions,” secretary of the event Abbas-Ali Vafai told Mehr News Agency.
Some 250 guests from 50 countries will join about 250 Iranian scholars to present academic papers on January 18 and 19, 2011.
“The congress is an opportunity to review literary works and the best time to pay tribute to those who have promoted the Persian language,” Vafai said.
Iran's post-revolutionary literature, comparative literature and modern methods of Persian language teaching are among the main themes of the congress, he announced.
Vafai also said that a collection of educational CDs on the Persian language would be offered during the congress.
