A unique move of its kind, concise encyclopedia of the holy book of Qur'an is to be published in Iran for the first time.
Hujjatul Islam Seyyed Hassan Rabbani, head of the secretariat for Islamic Propaganda in Qom, said the 34-volume encyclopedia of Qur'an is to be published at the sponsorship of Culture and Education Center of the holy Qur'an in Qom, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The move is described by this cultural figure to be the first move of its kind in the Shia community and a unique one in the whole Muslim world.
Out of the promised 34 volumes, seven are already published and two more are to be available by late March.
Beforehand, the Encyclopedia of Qur'an (EQ) has been published, though it does not fade the value of the present encyclopedia which is the first one to be published by Shia scholars.
