“Religious Tourism is a good opportunity for enhancing the issue of negotiation among Muslims,” said Head of the world Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, according to Taqrib News Agency(TNA).
“We should use all the religious capacities in the realm of tourism,” Grand Ayatollah expressed as underlined,” By compiling the comprehensive program of tourism Industry, we can activate the religious tourism in our country.”
He delineated the place of tourism in Islam and underlined,” tourism can be used as one of the way for making unity in the Islamic world.”
“If we have an organized religious tourism industry in our country, we will be able to use this capacity for true and free negotiation with each other,” he underlined.
“He said Tourism can play an import role in inter religious negotiations,” Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri mentioned and added,” Religious tourism can have some branches of Pilgrimage to holy places, travel to hajj and visiting religious sites related to the history of Islam.”
“Religious tourism can be a good opportunity in enhancing the interreligious negotiation among Muslims, knowing the problems in the Islamic world and exchanging the ideas among Muslims,” Head of the world Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought underlined.
The Senior Cleric expressed, “Many Iranian cities such as Isfahan, Shiraz, Khorasan, Rey , Qom and etc. contain many memories of the history of Islam.”
“Each of these cities can be a good place for religious tourism, but unfortunately we could not use our religious capacities properly in the realm of tourism till now,” Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri added.
“We can absorb people by religious tourism and get other people from different countries familiar with the Islamic revolution and negotiate with them,” the Grand Ayatollah mentioned.
“Via this way they can also get familiar with the Iranian people and their culture,” Head of the world Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought concluded.
