“Oppression against Palestinians, worst form of injustice”, cleric
Senior Iranian cleric has issued message on the eve of the International Quds Day denouncing the oppressions against Palestinian people as the worst form of injustice across the globe.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has issued a message on the eve of the International Quds Day calling on world Muslims and liberal nations to take practical measures for liberation of al-Quds, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The cleric hailed the progenies of Islamic resistance for supporting the Palestinian nation and said,” All Muslims, world liberal nations and their governments were obliged to take practical measures to save Palestine and al-Quds meanwhile foil endeavors for normalization of ties with Zionist regime and materialization of deal of century.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari warned of the current threats against Muslim nation and said,” We are living in an era of different threats against Palestine and against honor, glory and even existence of the Islamic nation counting among many more the hasty measures by the US and other colonial countries to support the Zionist regime of Israel, from relocation of the US embassy in al-Quds, Judaization of the Palestine to announcing the deal of century to military and economic terrorism against the Islamic Republic of Iran due to its support for the issue of Palestine.”
Secretary General of major Islamic unity center in Iran counted the urgent measures for liberation of Palestine as: to end war between Muslim states, to end infighting among political and ideological parties, to confront sectarian and racial conflicts and also to abandon the minor issues to focus on main challenges, liberation of Palestine from the grip of Zionists.”
He denounced the US, Zionist regime and colonial powers for fueling the fire between governments and nations and also arming the terrorist groups in a bid to destabilize the regional countries.”
The cleric hailed late Imam Khomeini (RA) for recognizing the last Friday in the holy month of Ramadan as International al-Quds Day.
He referred to the history of attacks against al-Quds, Islamic civilization and also glory and identity of Muslims and added,” Once we achieve victory in this confrontation, we will also achieve victory in other conflicts where the Muslim world is challenged.”
Top cleric highlighted the al-Quds Day 2020 as an exceptional event due to the utmost level of clashes in the world of Islam and secondly because of the new coronavirus outbreak which might bring changes to the traditional International al-Quds Day ceremonies.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari stressed that the new social restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic does not translate to ignorance for the issue of Palestine and commemoration of al-Quds Day as the occasion will be marked via available audio and visual means as well as the cyber space.
He called on the pro-Palestine activists and world liberals to announce their stance and live up to their sacred objective which is absolute liberation of al-Quds and Palestinian lands.
