During his stay in Iraq, Zarif is expected to meet his Iraqi counterpart Foad Hossein, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and President Barham Salih, among other high-ranking officials.
Zarif will also travel to Iraq's Kurdistan region to hold meetings with top officials there, IRNA reported.
Foreign Ministry's spokesman Abbas Mousavi said this week the top Iranian diplomat would discuss ways of upgrading Iran-Iraq relations.
This is Zarif's fourth visit to Iraq during his tenure as an Iranian foreign minister.
