The Arabic service of Russia’s Sputnik news agency, citing local sources, reported that the military aircraft struck the arms depot of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) terrorist group on the outskirts of Binnish city, located just north of Idlib city, on Monday.

The report added that the airstrikes resulted in successive explosions, and totally ruined the weapons warehouse.

A local source said the air raids were carried out after Syrian Air Force reconnaissance drones detected the site, where militant groups stockpiled ammunition.

The source pointed out that more than 20 people were killed or injured in the airstrikes and ensuing explosions.

Elsewhere in the northeastern province of Dayr al-Zawr, Syrian army forces found a large cache of weapons belonging to Daesh terrorists, who had left the southern parts of the province following government’s military progress in the region.

Syria's official news agency (SANA) reported that the army made the discovery during mop-up operations in the town of Mayadin, located about 44 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital city of Dayr al-Zawr.

The ammunition included anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), rocket launchers, artillery rounds, shoulder-launched missiles, hand grenades, machine guns of various calibers, mortar shells and rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs). Telecommunication devices and terminal equipment were recovered as well.
