Cleric warns of modern technology as new battlefield against Islam

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has warned of enemies making use of modern technology as their new battle field against Islam.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in his visit to Najaf met with trustees of the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS) hailing Islamic unity for turning Muslims as a mighty power across the globe, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said," The first result of a comprehensive unity in the world of Islam is turning Muslims to a mighty power across the globe" and added," Enemies are in ambush to know the different aspects of this power, divide Muslims and prevent formation of this mighty power."
 
The cleric referred to the modern technology as the new battle field to create disagreement, desecrate religious sanctities and achieve their objective which is division."
 
He also noted the positive aspects of modern technology for making it possible to hold meetings amid the coronavirus pandemic and said," To increase interaction and hold talks among different denominations will lead to closer relations and settling the disagreements."
 
HUjjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari met with trustees of the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS) in part of his visit to Iraq.
