“Dialogue, best strategy to settle misunderstanding”, Huj. Shahriari
Secretary General of Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought highlighted dialogue as the best strategy to confront the misunderstanding in different denominations.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, top cleric in his lecture delivered at the webinar on role of cultural and scientific centers on Islamic proximity referred to the different aspects of proximity among Islamic denominations and the way to settle the misunderstanding on them, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” Calling the people to proximity does not translate to marrying the denominations together in order to make them one rather it is endeavoring for coexistence of the denominations without any prejudice and hostility.”
The cleric highlighted dialogue as the best practical strategy to settle the misunderstanding among different denominations since it can directly resolve the unjustifiable disagreements.”
The cleric made the comments in a webinar held on the fiftieth anniversary of a meeting made by al-Azhar University delegation to Iran at the invitation of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and noted,” The view of al-Azhar on dialogue is based on common principles among all people and settling their disagreements in a civilized way.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari hailed the experiences of Islamic proximity since the establishment of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in Egypt which especially focused on features of the Sunnis and Imamiah Shia.
He referred to the renowned fatwa (religious statement) issued by the Supreme Leader banning desecration of Sunni sanctities and the reply by al-Azhar mufti welcoming relation between Iranian and Egyptian scholars.
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought stressed the fraternal ties between Qom Seminary and al-Azhar University which can lead to positive outcomes for the entire world of Islam.
He counted the positive outcomes of boosting relations between renowned religious centers Qom Seminary and al-Azhar University including confrontation with terrorism, extremism, Takfir (excommunication), preventing war among Muslim countries, boosting cooperation against desecration of sanctities, spread of disinformation on different denominations and also preventing establishment of dividing and hostile media which promote division among Muslims.
Senior Iranian cleric expressed regret over some Muslim clerics who follow the domineering system in the world in line with dividing the Islamic nation.
