Supreme Leader hails Iranian naval group, commands them to boost capabilities

Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Khamenei, has hailed the commander and service members of Iran’s 75th naval group over accomplishing mission through the Atlantic Ocean calling on the armed forces to upgrade their capabilities.

Supreme Leader in his message issued on Saturday offered congratulations on the honorable return of the 75th naval group from the mission of navigating in the Atlantic Ocean for the first time in the seafaring history of the country.
 
The Leader also hailed the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran for its “insightful, fervent and tireless” personnel ready to fight for its objectives of the Islamic Revolution.
 

Ayatollah Khamenei in this message called on the Iranian armed forces to upgrade its capabilities.
 
Iran’s Navy commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, earlier this week, hailed Iran for its most advanced indigenous destroyer Sahand and support vessel Makran which began the mission by sailing to the northern Indian Ocean.
 
Iranian commander noted that the operation meant to send the message of “peace and friendship” to all the countries met by the flotilla on its way.
