Huj. Shahriari defines prospects of Islamic unity for Muslim world
Senior Iranian cleric enumerated establishment of Islamic countries' union and materialization of unified Islamic nation as two objectives in the prospect of the world of Islam.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, stressed the sublime objectives of the major Islamic unity center in Iran stressing that establishment of a union of Islamic countries and also achieving a unified Islamic nation as the prospects of the world of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
In his speech addressing the Sunni worshippers at communal prayer in the city of Shiraz, central Iran, the cleric said," By establishment of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, the Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic endeavored to materialize the motto of the late Imam Khomeini (RA) and take effective measures to achieve Islamic unity."
He added," At World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, we pursue formation of the unified Islamic nation and establishment of the Islamic countries' union as we have planned for the prospect of the world of Islam."
The cleric hailed the efforts by Sheikh Abdul Vahed Khajavi, Friday prayer leader of Sunni community in Shiraz and highlighted necessity of solidarity among Muslims across the globe.
Prayer leader of the Sunni community in Shiraz and representative of the Supreme Leader in affairs of the Sunnis in the city noted that Islamic unity is not a dream and it will be achieved via piety and true belief.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari addressed the Sunni worshippers in Shiraz in part of his trip to the city following his visit to the Iranian southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan.
