Americans protest Facebook fueling Islamophobia in India
Hundreds of Americans in different cities across the United States held rally to condemn the role of Facebook in promoting Islamophobia and hate crimes against Indian Muslims.

People from different walks of life and religious backgrounds held demonstration across major American cities on Saturday and Sunday to condemn Facebook permission for freely post hateful messages against Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Demonstrators said that the hateful posts on Facebook have led to abuse and physical attack, murder of non-Hindus across India.
Speakers at the gathering called on Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to end cooperation of his company with propagation of far-right extremists on Facebook and WhatsApp.
Demonstrators held rally in Atlanta, Chicago, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Huston, San Diego, Seattle, San Francisco where the Facebook headquarter is located.
Several of the participants are not able to return to India because of their families who are subject to abuse, discrimination and violence by government forces.
