Iran, Armenia seeking to remove obstacles on transportation routes
The Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia and the Ambassador of Iran to the country exchanged views on regional developments and the process of talks on lifting the obstacles regarding transportation hubs.

Iranian Ambassador to Yerevan Abbas Badakhshan met on Wednesday with Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mehr Grigoryan, who has just been elected chairman of the Iran-Armenia Joint Cooperation Commission, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation.
Badakhshan, referring to the importance of transportation infrastructure for the development of Iran's economic and trade relations, stressed the readiness of Iranian companies to participate in projects in this field.
Referring to the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries in the new era, the Iranian Ambassador and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia stressed establishing a 17th Iran-Armenia Joint Commission.
It was also decided to review the implementation of the agreements of the 16th Commission in the working meetings of the two sides to prepare the ground for the exchange of high delegations between Iran and Armenia.
