Islamic organization urges supporters for active participation in Quds Week ceremonies

International Union of Muslim Scholars has called on all members across the world of Islam for active participations during the International Quds Week, to be marked on February 25 to March 4, in line with boosting support for Palestine.

Sheikh Ali Qaradaghi, Secretary General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars has called on the Islamic governments, nations and freedom-seekers across the globe, Islamic and Arab institutions, elites and scholars to mark the international Quds Week, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The week is particularly marked to commemorate the liberation of al-Aqsa Mosque by prominent Muslim hero Saladdin Ayoubi back in 538 A.H.
 
Secretary General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars has urged for more activities in line with supporting the Palestinian cause and commemoration of the International Quds Week in sermons and speeches.
 
He also highlighted the role of media in revealing the crimes daily committed by the occupying Islamic forces, brutal behavior, terrorist operations, land grab, judaization of al-Quds, murder of men, women and children and also daily detention of Palestinian citizens in the occupied lands.
 
Sheikh Ali Qaradaghi stressed,” To defend al-Quds and liberation of the holy site from the grip of occupying Israelis is a religious mission, national and humane duty.”
 
The International Quds (Jerusalem) Week will be marked between 25 February and 4 March and involve events around the world from Australia to the UK, South Africa to Turkey.
