Iran ranks first among world's largest steel producers in first two months of 2022
In the first two months of 2022, Iran achieved the highest growth rate in steel production among the top 10 producers in the world.

According to the new statistics, Iran's steel production in February reached 2.5 million tons, which is 3.7 percent more than the same period last year.
The total production of 64 members of the World Steel Association reached 299.4 million tons, which is 5.5% less than the performance of the same period in 2021.
During the period, China saw a negative 10 percent, Brazil a negative 5.8 percent, Turkey a negative 5.7 percent, South Korea a negative 2.6 percent and Japan a negative 2.4 percent in steel production.
India gained the most growth rate after Iran with 6.6 percent, followed by Germany with 1.1 percent, Russia with 1 percent and the United States with 0/6 percent.
China, the world's largest steel producer, reached 158 million tons in the first two months of 2022.
US steel production to 13.4 million, Japan to 15.1 million, India to 20.9 million, South Korea to 11.2 million, Germany to 6.5 million, Turkey 6.1 million, Brazil to 5.6 million and Russia reached 12.4 million tons.
