Iran-Syria to boost cooperation in health sector

Advisor to the Iranian Minister of Health and Medical Treatment for International Affairs met with the Syrian Ambassador in Tehran, discussing means to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the field of health, medicines, and medical equipment.

For his part, Ambassador Shafiq Dayoub indicated that there are opportunities for cooperation in the field of localizing the manufacture of some rare and quality medicines and medical equipment by making use of technologies, and modern science and exchanging research, laboratory, and production experiences.
Dayoub stressed the importance of addressing the difficulties that impede enhancing cooperation between pharmaceutical companies and medical devices in Syria and Iran, noting that holding a virtual meeting between the authorities concerned in the two health ministries would contribute to strengthening joint cooperation.
