In a meeting with the newly-appointed Montenegro Ambassador in Tehran, Iranian President Ebrahim has Raisi underlined that Iran opposes clashes, killing of innocent people anywhere in the world.

The President described the history of the war in the Balkans as a bitter experience for the region and the world, adding, "War is by no means a desirable event and one of the main policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been to support peace, stability, and progress and to oppose the war."
Referring to the history of friendly relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Montenegro, president Ebrahim Raisi stated, "The two countries have good capacities to improve the level of bilateral relations."
"I will try to strengthen the mechanisms for the development of bilateral relations so that the two countries can develop interactions and relations," said the Ambassador of Montenegro.
