Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi warned of Takfiri (excommunication) groups in the Middle East region and that the British-style Shia and American-style Sunni are two sides of the same coin standing against solidarity of Muslims.

President Raeisi stressed Islamic unity as a strategy for the Islamic Republic of Iran in his remarks at a meeting with Sunni scholars from across the country on Sunday, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Iranian President hailed the high stance and key role of Sunni community in history of Iran and lauded the coexistence of Shia and Sunni communities in Iran.
 
"Sunni elites and scholars have been perfectly serving the country" said President Raeisi and that Shia and Sunni Iranians have been living in coexistence and friendship for years.
 
Ebrahim Raeisi warned against growth of Takfiri groups in the region and called on all to stand cautious on infiltration of Takfiri and Salafi thoughts into the country.
 
He also referred to the demand of Sunni scholars on appointing Sunnis in administrative positions and stressed importance of employing qualified people for efficiency of the government.
