Iran, 15 neighboring countries to sit for consultation on dust control

The head of Iran's Department of Environment has said that the Ministers of Environment of 15 neighboring countries come together to consult on reducing dust this July.

 The dust storm, which is the first product of the construction of the dam of Turkey, has affected the skies of some of Iran's western neighbors in recent days, including Syria, Iraq and Jordan.
Ali Salajegheh, Vice President and the head of Iran's Department of Environment on Sunday night referred to his visit to consult with Iraqi officials on combating dust in the region, and added: “On July 12 in Tehran, Ministers of Environment of 15  neighboring countries come together to consult on reducing dust."
Salajegheh said: "On Monday we will head for Syria to continue consultations on dealing with dust and we will have trips to the countries bordering the Persian Gulf so that we can implement the action plan bilaterally and multilaterally so that the people will see the result of these meetings in reducing dust.”
 
The head of Iran's Department of Environment noted: "There is a good public sense in the region to hold an international meeting on dust control."
