Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic Ayatollah Khamenei, delivering speech at 33rd passing anniversary of Imam Khomeini (RA), hailed the late leader as “soul of Islamic Republic.”

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in his speech at the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini (RA), called Imam Khomeini (RA) the soul of Islamic Republic and a guideline for present and future, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The Leader said,” Imam Khomeini (RA) was not a leader merely for yesterday but a guide for today, tomorrow and for a revolutionary generation who is set to admit responsibilities for the second phase of the Islamic Revolution.”
Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted the role of Iranian nation in victory of the Islamic Revolution and said,” Islamic Revolution was victorious due to participation of the people who were not marginalized after the great achievement.”
“Imam Khomeini (RA) was the leader of this Islamic Revolution and the leader of a movement which led to the Islamic Revolution” said the Supreme Leader and defined late Imam Khomeini (RA) as “the powerful hand, character, confident heart and influent rhetoric” who put the “ocean of people on motion.”
Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted the eminent character, wisdom, brevity and commitment of late Imam Khomeini (RA) and said,” Late Imam Khomeini stressed that the Islamic Republic should not be an affiliate of what the western countries call as republic or democracy; therefore, as I mentioned on the same day last year, Islamic Republic is not derived or inspired by the west but it is an originally Islamic plan.”
Supreme Leader rejected the rumors on people turning distrustful of religion and spirituality and said,” Those who intend to know popular tendency to the Islamic Revolution and jihad should refer to the massive funeral held for Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.”
Leader of the Islamic Republic warned of the oppressors and arrogant powers as enemies of Islamic Revolution since the nature of Islamic Republic is in contrast with oppression, arrogance and evils.
According to the Leader another reason behind hostility with the Islamic Republic is the distance late Imam Khomeini maintained with the west and counted Iran’s support for Palestine, handing the former Israeli embassy to Palestine, criticizing the hypocrisy and crimes by the US and European countries as instances of the distancing efforts by Imam Khomeini(RA).
Ayatollah Khamenei warned of two plots by the enemies of Iranian nation; first those who are hopeful of popular protest as means to damage the country and second those who convey their miscalculations regarding imminent topple of the Islamic Republic.
The Leader stressed,” Certainly the people are more supportive of religion and Revolution in comparison with early days of the Islamic Revolution.
Ayatollah Khamenei also addressed the activists in social, political and economic arenas in seven recommendations, first of which to the youths saying,” Do not let the enemies to give you an inverted image of the Islamic Revolution.”
In the second recommendation the Leader called on the people to prevent marginalization or distortion of late Imam Khomeini and Islamic Revolution.
In the third and fourth recommendations Ayatollah Khamenei called for moves to prevent return to western lifestyle and diplomacy and urged for endeavors to reveal the lies, plots and psychological warfare waged by enemies.
Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution stressed that the religious beliefs of the people should be hired to promote good deeds and also end the propaganda on the country coming to a quagmire.
Ayatollah Khamenei in the last recommendation referred to necessity of appreciation for the officials in the Islamic Revolution and said,” When enemies are in ambush to ruin the authorities, we should appreciate the officials over the responsibilities they admitted.”
The Leader especially lauded the efforts by officials following the collapse of building in southern Iranian city Abadan and called for punishment of those behind the incident.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei made the remarks in a ceremony held for 33rd passing anniversary of Imam Khomeini (RA) held at the mausoleum of the late leader in Tehran on June 6th.
