The Political Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran held a meeting with the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar and conferred on strengthening the stability and security of the region.

Bagheri Kani met and held talks with Ahmad Hassan al-Hamadi and Assistant Foreign Minister for Regional Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi on resuming talks on lifting sanctions.
Iran’s ambassador to Doha Hamid-Reza Dehqani wrote on his Twitter account on Tuesday that during the meeting the two sides discussed the upcoming negotiations in Doha and the ways to succeed.
Earlier on Tuesday, Iran’s deputy foreign minister and top negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani, heading a delegation, arrived in Doha, Qatar.
Dehqani through a Twitter post welcomed the arrival of the negotiating team and wished success for them.
Dehqani hoped that the team would be successful in conducting its mission in line with serving the Iranian nation's interests.
In a related development, the new spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Nasser Kanani has said that the visit of Bagheri Kani to Doha takes place within the framework of agreements on the continuation of talks on the removal of the sanctions.
What is important for Iran is to gain economic advantage from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), according to Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
