Iran's Foreign Minister told his French counterpart that the US lacked any initiative for progress in Doha talks on the revival of the JCPOA.

The eighth round of sanctions talks began in Vienna on December 27, after a short break, between Iran and the P4+1 group and without the presence of the US.
In a telephone call with the French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna on Sunday, Iran's Hossein Amir-Abdollahian assessed the Doha talks positive and said it was up to the US to put aside non-constructive approach in coming back to the international agreement.
Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran always adhered to its commitments and expected the other parties to mutually fulfill their commitments to the deal.
He emphasized Tehran's readiness to shore up the cooperation with Paris based on mutual respect.
The foreign minister of France welcomed good relations between Tehran and Paris, stressing the continuation of the nuclear talks and the lifting of sanctions on Iran.
Catherine Colonna said that an agreement must be reached through negotiations, that was beneficial to all parties.
