Speaking in his weekly press conference on Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman briefed on the latest Iranian foreign policy developments and answered a number of questions put forward by the journalists.
In response to a question regarding the statements of the Zionist regime official (who said that they still could take action to confront Iran's nuclear program), Kanaani said that it is a bitter irony that a regime that is not a member of any of the non-proliferation treaties or international monitoring bodies in nuclear should comment on Iran's peaceful nuclear activities.
"The nuclear activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran are completely clear and legal, as it is a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
“All of Iran's activities are carried out under the agency's supervision. Having a nuclear arsenal and not being a member of the Non-Proliferation Treaty, the Zionist regime has no right to comment on Iran's peaceful activities," Kanaani emphasized.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman warned of the nuclear capability and arsenal of Israeli regime a threat to international peace and security and called on the international assemblies, the United Nations to address the nuclear situation of Israeli regime and force Tel Aviv to fall under non-proliferation regulations.
“The lawlessness of this regime is the result of the unconditional support by some countries, including the United States," the senior Iranian diplomat continued, adding that Iran will definitely respond to any unwise actions by Israeli regime.
