“Israel continues to escalate its crimes and violations against the Palestinian people and holy sites, including the repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque in addition to arresting its Palestinian defenders,” the Arab League said on the 53rd anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Mosque arson attack held on Monday.
The Arab League stressed that such crimes aim at Judaizing Jerusalem and eliminating its Palestinian identity.
It also warned that the atrocities by Israeli regime pose a threat to international peace and security.
The Arab League called on the international community to assume its responsibility and provide legal protection for the Palestinian people, in addition to urging Israel to stop its crimes which aim at changing the status quo in Jerusalem.
