Iran's deputy foreign minister for political affairs has said that Iran's presence in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS Plus makes Iran a partner in international political, security and economic decision-making process.

"Unilateralism has given up the field of initiative and now the world is multilateral, which can determine the conditions and requirements of the new world order."

Bagheri Kani emphasized the strength, dynamism and weakness of the hard and soft components of Iran's power and stated: "Iran's presence in the political and security based Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Iran's role in the BRICS Plus economic mechanism makes Iran a partner in international decision-making process in political, security and economic fields and has significantly improved the position of the multilateralism in international equations."
Iran's deputy foreign minister for political affairs pointed out that from now on Iran's relations with the players of global multilateralism such as Russia, China, India and Brazil will not be limited to bilateral relations between Tehran and Moscow, Beijing, Delhi and Brazil, noting: "Iran and Brazil's ties are defined in the form of responsibility, role and position of these two countries in the new order arising from multilateralism."
The political deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran also highlighted the potential political, economic capacities and people-to-people interactions between Iran and Brazil, and emphasized the serious determination of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the comprehensive development of relations with Brazil as a reliable partner.
Acknowledging the political and economic capacities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil for his part said: "Brazil seeks to increase international cooperation and interactions and promote multilateralism, and rejects unilateralism, including the imposition of economic sanctions."
