“We want to return the sects to their natural state to avoid bloodshed”
Molave Seyed Abdolhadi Hedayat, Afghan religious issues expert, delivered his speech on sects that Islamic world saw in from the second century to the middle of the fourth century Hijri.

“According to the belief of some scholars of these sects, which were raised after the Tabi'un period, most of them were individual schools that were not used as a criterion of action by their followers” Afghan religious issues expert said, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He referred that we have witnessed terrible periods of non-Islamic practices, takfir and accusations of heresy, which led to quarrels and bloodshed, and noted “This is why we want to return the sects to their natural state through the promotion of constructive Islamic dialogue, empathy, and the search for common areas.”
“At the end of the 40s of the last century, prominent scholars and personalities laid the initial foundation of this blessed movement and made honest efforts to explain it, and after expressing the originality, as well as the Sharia roots and its growing necessity” Afghan expert added.
He pointed out to some points that help approximating Islamic schools of thought such as, faith in the principles of Islam, comprehensive adherence to Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the the Prophet.
Molave Seyed Abdolhadi Hedayat also stredded on several great achievements to emphasize on approximation of Islamic sects; pleasing God Almighty, the despair of the enemies of the religion and Muslims and the transformation of Muslims and followers of Islamic sects into a great power against the enemies of Islam.
“Takfir is one of the calamities of our history, so we call everyone to be inspired by the spirit of the Quran, which calls for logic and practical approach even when arguing with real infidels” he said.
“We must refrain from insulting the sacred things of others, this is the only way that brings us closer to the approximation of Islamic schools of thought, mutual acceptance and the culture of tolerance” Afghan expert concluded.
World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has scheduled the 36th edition of the Islamic Unity Conference for October 9-11 ending with the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) also known as the Islamic Unity Week.
