World arrogant powers pursue disintegration of Muslim world, promotion of secularism
The 36th International Islamic Unity Conference has ended the three day meeting in the capital Tehran as Muslim scholars, intellectuals and thinkers issued the final statement of the meeting and warned of disintegration of Muslim world and also promotion of secularism and liberalism among Islamic countries, particularly the younger generation.

The final statement of the 36th International Islamic Unity Conference has condemned the west and US-led arrogant powers for promoting two projects in the world of Islam during the past centuries expressing regret that both plots have led to many clashes, murder and looting in the world of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The statement noted that World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought held the 36th edition of the annual event with the theme “Islamic Unity, Peace and Avoidance of Division and Conflict in the Islamic World” as part of efforts to confront the plots hatched by enemies stressing the need for practical and operational measures in line with the solutions proposed at the end of the meeting.
According the statement the articles sent to the secretariat of the 36th International Islamic Unity Conference and also views exchanged at the meeting discussed the five axes:
-Freedom of thought and religion and admittance of religious ijtihad
-Confrontation with Takfiri (excommunication) and extremist movements
-Islamic compassion and avoiding conflicts
-Mutual respect among Islamic denominations and maintaining the norms of difference as well as avoiding desecration of religious sanctities
-Practical proposals for materializing unified Islamic ummah
Shia and Sunni participants to the 36th International Islamic Unity Conference also condemned the normalization of relations with Israeli regime and detailed the events behind the scenes of normalization deals as well as the impacts of resumption of ties between Tel Aviv regime and regional countries.
The final statement of the 36th Islamic Unity Conference also condemned the terrorism and conflicts across the globe particularly in Muslim world, rejected the insufficient measures by Islamic countries and stressed that the sole way to uproot terrorism is to stem the sources feeding the issue.
Senior scholars, intellectuals and thinkers also reiterated importance of expanding fraternity in the world of Islam and maintaining the issue of Palestine on top of the challenges to be handled by Islamic countries.
Participants hailed Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Secretary General Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari for holding the annual event.
