Grand Mufti condemns attacks by Israeli settlers on places of worship
Sheikh Mohammad Hussein, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine, has vehemently condemned the recent attacks by Israeli settler extremists on places of worship, the latest of which was the assault yesterday on two mosques in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron.

“Through these attacks, the occupation authorities aim to prevent Palestinian citizens from performing their religious rites in their mosques,” said the Grand Mufti, warning of the danger of these practices which may drag the entire region into a religious war that will harm the whole world, not only Palestine.
He pointed out that these violations and attacks come in light of a ‘shameful’ international silence, demanding the world to intervene to stop these abuses before it is too late.
